Capital Region Farmers' Market

Capital Region Farmers' Market

Every Saturday

Housed in two enormous interconnecting sheds at EPIC (Exhibition Park in Canberra) this weekly farmer’s market casts a wide net and pulls together some quite remarkable and diverse food products. We love the fact that being only a few hours from the coast this farmers’ market has fresh seafood from Tuross Head and Sydney rock oysters from the Clyde River. Add to that the number of free range meat, poultry and egg suppliers, plus a truffle grower then you understand that this is a foodie destination. It’s quite a sought after market with one goat’s cheese maker driving all the way from Bairnsdale in Gippsland, Victoria. There’s ready to eat Turkish boreks, Thai curry puffs, fresh fudge and biscuits and a really good range of vegetables, many grown by local organic and biodynamic farmers. Farmers’ market purists might rankle at the number of onsellers but a new signage system will help customers differentiate between dinky-di farmers and agents.

Where: EPIC, Northbourne Ave, Canberra, ACT.
When: 8am -11am every Saturday.
Cost: Free to attend.
