Animal Holocaust Exhibition

The Animal Holocaust Exhibition 2014

The Animal Holocaust Exhibition 2014

19 – 26 September, 2014

Demonstrating her love of animals and conviction that animals deserve better treatment, artist Jo Frederiks will be displaying her latest work in an exhibition titled ‘The Animal Holocaust’. Frederiks wants to expose the plight of animals, she says, “the definition of holocaust is ‘great or total destruction of life’. That’s what is going on everyday to animals in Australia and around the world. In this modern day and age of technology and freedom of information, ignorance is no longer an excuse for abuse or suffering”. It may be challenging and confronting viewing, but it is something the animal rights advocate feels the world needs to see.

Where: Royal Queensland Art Society Art Gallery, Broadbeach, Queensland.
When: The exhibition runs from 19 to 26 September and will be opened on 19 September by Australian philanthropist and Victorian of the Year (2007), Philip Wollen, OAM.
