Eight properties demonstrating the principles of permaculture will open their doors to the public in celebration of National Permaculture Day. The permaculture movement involves a landscape design science that couples sustainable land-use ideas with greener lifestyle choices. The science has developed across many areas from food production to architecture and this open-home event hopes to inspire people to adopt some ideas of their own.

Where: Eight properties in the Sapphire Coast region, NSW.
When: 9am to 5pm, May 6, 2012.
Cost: $5 entry per property.
