Sustainability Design Engineer

As a key member of a small team, the successful candidate for Water Sustainability Design Engineer would possess qualifications and proven experience in water design including waterway, water-sensitive urban design and/or constructed wetland and wetland rehabilitation. The role would involve completing conceptual designs for proposals, design reports and drawings for regulatory approval and construction, design and development of hydrological models for water quality and/or stormwater drainage and technical delivery across multiple projects of varying size and values. Knowledge of NSW statutory and policy requirements is desirable.

Reporting to the National Marketing Manager, you would be responsible for identifying and managing relationships with current and prospective supporters in order to increase donations and ultimately make a bequest in their will.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellent relationship building across a broad range of clientele as well as experience and understanding of database management and the implementation of communication strategies to achieve fundraising goals and targets. This is your opportunity to contribute significantly to Water Corporation's Environmental Management System (EMS) and help maintain its ISO 14001 certification through coordinating and facilitating activity throughout the business.
You will have a positive 'can-do' attitude and a proactive approach to project management. You will also be a strong communicator and environmental advocate, be able to work strategically and contribute strongly in a team environment. Further, you will be comfortable coordinating others as you help staff throughout the business maintain the EMS. A strong understanding of EMSs is necessary and environmental auditing expertise would be highly regarded.
Relevant experience and a relevant degree level qualification or substantial experience in environmental management systems is required.
The salary range for this role is between $80,000 and $87,000 pa (+ super) commensurate with skills and experience. One year fixed term contract in Inner-Leederville, Perth, W.A. (Full-time).

The Regional Landcare Facilitator will join a large team of professionals leading work in the field of natural resource management and their key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Working with community Landcare and production groups to promote sustainable farm and land management practices.
* Providing an effective interface between the regional NRM bodies and community, Landcare and production groups.
* Promoting opportunities for groups and networks to access public and private funds to address sustainable farm and land management practices and natural resources outcomes.
* Remaining updated on developments in agricultural and natural resource management issues such as drought reform, climate change adaptation, emissions mitigation and environmental policy changes
* Liaise with other Regional Landcare Facilitators across the national network to share knowledge of sustainable land management practices.

The successful candidate should possess well developed communication skills, experience in issues relating to Landcare, sustainable agriculture, natural resource management and/or social change, a high level of self motivation, strong conflict management and negotiation skills and demonstrated project management and planning skills.

An appropriate diploma or tertiary qualification in agriculture, natural resource management, environmental science and social science or a related discipline, or extensive experience within the relevant field would be beneficial. Brisbane City Council have a project of planting two million trees across the city by 2012. They hope to achieve this through large scale bushland restoration, revegetating landfill sites, street tree plantings and greening infrastructure sites. This high profile project is one of the largest of its kind being delivered in the world today.
You can help by joining the team if you're an experienced Project Officer who wants to help make Brisbane the most sustainable city in Australia. This is an offer for a temporary role for up to two years. You will monitor, audit, inspect and facilitate the establishment and field delivery of revegetation works. You will help identify planting sites including assessing the sites for suitability. You will monitor contracts with internal and external providers and you will ensure all planting is to an accepted standard and quality. Additionally, you will ensure appropriate species are planted and properly maintained.

The Central Land Council (CLC) is a Commonwealth statutory authority under Aboriginal Land Rights (NT) Act 1976, and Native Title Representative Body under the Native Title Act 1993.

The CLC is seeking an enthusiastic, self-starter to fill this vacancy. The successful applicant will have excellent computer skills across a range of programs, demonstrated time management and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and work deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.

This position will provide coordination and support for the use of Cyber Tracker technology by Indigenous land managers across Central Australia for survey and monitoring activities.

Employment Conditions:
* Employment is under an initial 3 year contract with a 4 month probation period.
