Project Manager - Take 3 Surf Life Saving Clubs Program

The 'Take 3' message is simple: find 3 pieces of rubbish to take away with you when you leave the beach, waterway, or anywhere you're keen to make a difference. If you're passionate about sharing this message, you could be the next Project Manager with Take 3. They have a new role for a person to help develop and distribute an education program aimed at engaging NSW Surf Life Saving Clubs (SLSC’s) to help them address litter, marine debris, and waste in their area – especially on their beaches.

Location: Between Newcastle and Wollongong. Successful applicant may work from the office in Paddington in Sydney, or remotely.
Working hours: 12 hr/week. It is hoped the successful applicant will contribute additional volunteer hours as necessary to fulfill the project objectives.
Salary: $30/hr.

This is a great opportunity for the green-fingered to get stuck into a variety of projects. The role includes maintaining St Joseph’s Mount four-hectare property, a dedicated sustainability demonstration site, which is a vital part of the Rahamim Ecological Learning Community. You will also have to look after the chooks, tend the heritage curtilage and gardens of 1870s mansion Logan Brae, coordinate the small organic market garden and ensure the polyhouse, shadehouse and garden beds are productive. If you love horticulture and thrive in an environment that focuses on education and sustainability, this is the role for you. You will need to have a current Work With Children Check and a Driver’s Licence.

Location: Bathurst, NSW.
Working hours: 28 hours per week or 8 days per fortnight.
Salary: $21 per hour.

Take a lead role in the delivery of Bush Heritage’s Volunteer Program including working with key internal stakeholders to establish volunteer and community engagement activities. Actively promote Bush Heritage amongst external partners and stakeholders through your prior experience managing a dynamic volunteer program; coordinating individuals and groups in a membership-based or not-for-profit organisation with a proactive, results-oriented approach. Ideally, you will have an interest in the conservation or environment sector. Knowledge of natural resource management principles and/or a qualification in a HR related discipline is highly desirable. Experience with operations and logistics would be highly regarded. Some travel to remote areas of Australia may be required.
